HK-Beam (Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method) is a voluntary initiative
encouraging owners to measure and improve environmental performance of both new and
existing buildings. Successful buildings are rewarded with HK-Beam certification
demonstrating to prospects low energy design with a reduced environmental impact.
The primary purpose for HK-Beam, is as the driver for healthier, high quality, more
durable, efficient, environmentally sustainable buildings, creating a healthier living
environment whilst reducing excess and waste.
What is HK-BEAM?
HK-Beam provides an equitable framework for measuring, rewarding and recognising superior building performance. A HK-Beam project will have been designed, installed and commissioned using best practice, having all aspects of energy and sustainability, low energy consumption, and waste considered.
HK-Beam is undoubtedly the leading initiative to improve environmental performance of
buildings in Hong Kong.

What are the Benefits?
HK-Beam is not a marketing trick, it is an independently assessed benchmark. This
allows prospective tenants to truly compare one building with another, without the
marketing hype. Certified buildings are rewarded with HK-Beam certificate, providing
a lower environmental footprint. Coupled with lower energy consumption certified buildings
reduces ownership costs (saving you money) whilst reducing environmental pollution.

for improve performance and lowering energy consumption.
